Overrun

It's a new year with new everything. Been so busy and it is almost impossible to blog on my iPad (I almost do not use the Macbook anymore). The photos don't seem to load up properly.

Haven't quite have the time to go around either, with the new job, I get exhausted on weekdays and sleep is on my priority list on weekends. So I guess the last exhibition I've been to was DiverseCity at 8Q last year. Apart from the free food and drinks at the opening, the exhibition was delicious, lots of works by Southeast Asian artists.

It was a little rushed as we were there late but I guess the whole exhibition was covered.

Pameran Poskad

There was a postcard exhibition going on somewhere at the beginning of this month (not too sure, can't really be bothered about the dates anymore). It was an interesting display of postcards by hundreds of artists all over the world including local ones.

Huda's cousin had hers up at the exhibition as well. One of my favourite works was the one with faces painted with watercolour, I thought I've seen the artist's work live on Youtube before. Dyn had his artwork up as well, as usual, well done with his popart, this time it was Wonderwoman.

The exhibition was held at Vidirian Art House which used to be the canteen of River Valley Swimming Pool. Though I miss the mosaic swimming pool tiles, it is a good thing that the building has been conserved and turned into a place for art.

There are 2 galleries in the building with a concept cafe sitting in between them, therefore, Pameran Poskad was split into 2 areas, which, we almost missed the second part. Opening night was too crowded and stuffy, could not quite finish the whole exhibition but we had some good stuff caught on camera.

Be All Eyes @ The Pigeonhole Duxton

Much thanks to everyone who made the effort down to view my humble works at The Pigeonhole Cafe on 23 December 2011 and of course very much appreciate those to made it to the opening reception. I have to especially thank Rayner, Ave and the staff at Pigeonhole, especially Dennis who was an octopus that night helping to serve my guests! Thank you, Dennis!

I had fun and laughter with friends I met from different stages of my life. Never have I felt more accomplished than this. However, it seemed like something was still missing - a next step. Still contemplating what I should do with my pieces that have been exhibited.
