Title: iLight Marina Bay
Where?: Marina Bay
Date: 9 March to 1 April 2012 (there is still time!)
What was I doing there?: Feel the HEAT!
The installations were a little too far apart, did not quite have the time to walk through all of them. The weather was bad. There was no wind and humidity was extremely high. Therefore, we could not bear walking outside for a long time.
My hair was getting oily, eyeliner smudging and getting sticky all over (whining, yes) but well, the whole light art festival was alright, there were some interesting installations and some meaningless ones. Overall, it was a pretty sight at Marina Bay.
It is always liberating to view art pieces and these light art installations took my mind away from my busy and grueling work week for a while.

Thoughts // I am not too sure about post-modern art installations lately, it seems like almost anything can be called art these days so long as you describe it well enough. Perhaps I am being a stick in the mud because to me, art is for expression, not describing. However, I am glad to see a lot more Asian artists displaying their work at this festival.
